Carbon Monoxide Scare: Bode Miller’s Family

SR Staff Report
In a chilling incident for Bode Miller’s family, three of their children were rushed to the hospital due to carbon monoxide poisoning caused by the exhaust of a crane working at their home. The crane was there to remove a broken hot tub.
The incident took place a few weeks ago and fortunately, the children have since recovered and are in good health.
Morgan Beck Miller shared a video on Instagram explaining the situation: “Two weeks ago, we had a crane at our house to remove our broken hot tub. Asher, Aksel, and Scarlet innocently stood on the front step of our house to watch the action which resulted in them getting carbon monoxide poisoning due to the lack of airflow in our driveway, landing them in the ER. They were on high-flow oxygen for over four hours. It was a terrifying experience but thanking my lucky stars, they are okay.”
Morgan Miller acted quickly when she noticed something was wrong with Asher. He complained of an upset stomach and appeared pale. When she laid him down and saw him starting to pass out, she rushed him to the hospital.
To ensure the safety of the other children, Morgan contacted the nanny to check on them. The nanny informed her that Aksel was showing similar symptoms. Morgan then notified the nurse, who advised checking for carbon monoxide poisoning when more than one person exhibits such symptoms. Confirming the diagnosis, they evacuated the house for testing and had the fire department inspect their home.
Morgan told another Instagram user that detectors are placed throughout their home, but the carbon monoxide outside did not trigger any of them. It’s a colorless and odorless gas, making it difficult to detect without specialized equipment.
