Inghams is known as one of the UK’s biggest and longest-established ski-holiday companies, but it also has a busy summer programme offering walking holidays in the mountains.

Now the company is re-branding its summer programme with a focus on celebrating their passion for the great outdoors. ‘Inghams Summer’ is now ‘Inghams Walking’, building on the brand’s long walking heritage and expertise.

The Inghams Walking programme will be done differently to before. Based in one (sometimes two) locations, with no fixed itinerary, guests will have the freedom to explore as much or as little of the local area on foot. In destinations with incredible scenery, guests can take the time to explore existing walks and pause to enjoy the moment, with no need to pack every night.

“We’ve designed our Inghams Walking programme for people to discover the most beautiful, breath-taking scenery for walking, alongside the most fabulous local food, drink and experiences,” said Inghams Head of Walking Product, Laura Mason, adding, “These holidays are created with freedom and flexibility, in stay and walk locations where guests can walk as much or as little as they choose, to fill the gap in the market for people who love to holiday as much as they love to walk.”

The programme covers walks in Italy, France, Switzerland, Slovenia and Austria, with the opportunity to uncover hidden gems on Inghams ‘stay and walk’ holidays.

The idea is that with optional included guided walks in selected destinations, this approach will offer plenty of opportunities for guests to walk and sightsee, enjoy local food and drink, or just relax.
