ÖSV stars inspire children at Youth Camp

For Olympic medalist Lukas Greiderer it was very special to train with the children. “15, 20 years ago I took part in a camp like this. Felix Gottwald was there at the time. It’s really cool that I can now work with the children, the beaming faces give you a lot in return. Hopefully it will motivate many more for the future.”
“We were delighted to be invited to the training camp. It’s an exciting thing, because you can see what you have to do as a coach. It’s really great how motivated and joyful the kids get to work. We hope that we were able to give them helpful tips and convey the joy of Nordic Combined in a playful way,” said Salzburg’s local hero Stefan Rettenegger.
So much concentrated competence motivated the youngsters even more, says ÖSV junior coach Günther Chromecek:
“The children are fully motivated and we have a really relaxed camp here in Hochfilzen and Saalfelden. I am particularly pleased that the ÖSV national team visited the children at the camp this year and gave them valuable tips. A visit from the stars of Nordic Combined has become a tradition, which motivates the children even more when they can train with the stars. Special thanks go to the Hochfilzen military training area, which made the accommodation possible, and to those responsible for the ski jumping facilities in Saalfelden.”
