Crans Montana is the latest ski area to announce its aiming to offer skiing and boarding in to June.
The Swiss resort says their slopes on the Plaine Morte glacier will remain accessible via the Violettes Express and Funitel gondolas, as well as the Lac ski lift.
As well as ski slopes the resorts snowpark will move up onto the glacier from 30th April.
The resort had originally said it would close on 18th April, it currently has a 70cm snow depth on its glacier and says opening through May and into June depends on the snow lasting.
Other ski areas staying open into June include Austria’s Kaunertal, Kitzsteinhorn, Stubai and Hintertux glaciers.
June will also see Frances Tignes and Val d’Isere glacier ski areas re-open, as well as those at Cervinia and Passo Stelvio in Italy. Les 2 Alpes will also have re-opened its glacier area.
The only other Swiss centre currently still planning to open in June is year-round Zermatt.
