The Austrian mixed team (Chiara Kreuzer, Manuel Fettner, Marita Kramer, and Stefan Kraft) came in second with 867.7 points. “It’s really cool to be on the podium here today. We tried to achieve that at the Olympics, but there it didn’t work out so it’s great that we made it here and we’re very satisfied with the second place. My second jump was really good, I hope I can show such jumps more often”, Manuel Fettner said.
Only 0.8 points behind the Austrians, Norway (Anna Odine Stroem, Robert Johansson, Silje Opseth, and Halvor Egner Granerud) finished third today. Anna Odine Stroem said: “We are less than one point behind the second place, so it’s a little bit bitter, but we are on the podium and that’s nice. My jumps today weren’t perfect, they were better than recently, so that’s good.”
Japan came in fourth, about 20 points behind Norway, another 15 points behind, Germany finished fifth. The teams of Finland, Poland, and Canada also scored World Cup points in sixth, seventh, and eighth.
After today’s competition, Austria leads the men’s Nations Cup ahead of Germany and Norway. In the women’s ranking, Slovenia is ahead of Austria and Japan.
Today’s competition is not part of the RAW AIR overall. Two individual competitions for men and women will take place in Oslo on Saturday and Sunday, all of which count for the RAW AIR overall ranking.
