The list of racers competing, when, and how to watch the women’s World Cup super-G finals on Friday, March 22nd, in Saalbach, Austria.

The women’s super-G World Cup finals in Saalbach, Austria, are set to be an exhilarating showdown that will conclude a compelling SG season. Let’s dive into how the season unfolded, who’s leading the super-G title chase, the Nations Cup status, and the Stifel US Ski Team athlete in contention.

The regular season saw a mix of victories, with Italy’s Sofia Goggia starting strong with a win—her teammate Federica Brignone’s earned victory twice. Austria’s Cornelia Huetter and Stephanie Venier each claimed one victory, while Switzerland’s Lara Gut-Behrami dominated with three wins.

Gut-Behrami has already secured both the overall and slalom titles and is leading the super-G standings by 69 points over Huetter and 74 points over Brignone. With only the final race remaining, Gut-Behrami needs to finish eighth or better to clinch the super-G title, making her the likely victor. Huetter and Brignone’s only chance is to finish second or better and hope Gut-Behrami falters.

Switzerland, Austria, and Italy each qualified five athletes among the top 25 super-G racers from the regular season. Norway and France qualified two athletes each, while Czechia, Germany, the United States, New Zealand, and Bosnia and Herzegovina each qualified one athlete based on their performance. In addition, the Junior World Champion qualifies to race at the finals. This year, Switzerland’s Malorie Blanc earned that honor, bolstering the Swiss SG roster.
