An Action-Packed Ski Cross and Snowboard Cross Week Unfolds at Mt Hotham

This week, Mt Hotham, Australia is being transformed into a snowy nexus of competitive excitement. The mountain, known for its pristine pistes and welcoming atmosphere, is hosting a series of ski cross and snowboard cross competitions that have attracted young talents from across the globe.
The adrenaline-packed week began with the FIS SBX Junior competitions this past Wednesday, where more than 40 budding athletes showcased their talents on the slopes. The participants hailed not just from the host nation Australia, but also from Japan, Czech Republic, and Slovakia, making it a multi-cultural winter sports festival.
When it came to the women’s event, the limelight shone on Mia Clift of Australia who clinched the gold. Abbey Wilson and Maya Billingham followed closely, securing second and third positions respectively. Meanwhile, in the men’s event, Japan’s Daisuke Muraoka carved out the top spot, followed by James Johnstone and William Martin.
