Slovenia’s Nika Kriznar continues to dominate the 2023 FIS Women’s Grand Prix.
The 23-year-old won also the second Grand Prix in Szczyrk, Poland, on Sunday, so Kriznar has won all four competitions of the current summer.
Second and third place on Sunday went to Nika Prevc (SLO) and Canada’s Alexandria Loutitt
The second women’s competition in Szczyrk was, similar to the men’s competition before, characterized by continuous rain and difficult wind conditions. And like the men, the women also had to do without the second competition round.
But one person didn’t care about all that: The dominance of Nika Kriznar this summer is so big that even the most difficult conditions can’t stop the Olympic Champion from Beijing (Mixed Team). Kriznar received 125.2 points for her jump to 88.5 meters, which was enough to relegate teammate Nika Prevc (92.5 meters / 121.8 points) to second place in a commanding manner. The third-placed Canadian Loutitt jumped to 90 meters (118.9 points).

In the Grand Prix overall ranking Kriznar now leads with 400 of 400 possible points. Japan’s Sara Takanashi (in 4th place today) follows in second place overall with 290 points. Third is Alexandria Loutitt, the Canadian was third in all four competitions of the summer.

For Nika Prevc, second place was the best result of her still young career.

Abigail Strate (CAN) secured 5th place in the daily ranking ahead of the three Japanese Yuka Kobayashi, Haruka Iwasa and Kurumi Ichinohe.
Daniela Haralambie (ROU) could be happy about the hoped for top 10 place after finishing 11th on Saturday with 9th on Sunday.

The two Chinese women Qi Liu and Xueyao Li ensured a good result for the team from China on places 10 and 11.

For the women, the Grand Prix continues, together with the men, in Rasnov (ROU). Two competitions will take place there on September 23 and 24.
