Carrabassett Valley Academy Announces Search for New Head of School

CARRABASSETT VALLEY, ME – Carrabassett Valley Academy (CVA) announced a global search for its next Head of School to begin July 1, 2024. The CVA Board of Trustees appointed a Search Committee and retained Educators Collaborative, a nationally-known consulting group that specializes in finding senior leaders for independent schools.
CVA published an Information for Candidates (IFC) document, which provides potential candidates with an overview of CVA, outlines opportunities and challenges, and details the skills and attributes sought in the next Head of School.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The ideal leader will embrace the CVA mission and champion the school’s core values of kindness, respect, commitment, and gratitude. They will bring previous experience in an independent school setting with an understanding of the high-level academic and athletic environment in which CVA student-athletes compete. They will demonstrate an innovative, creative, roll-up-your-sleeves leadership style that inspires and empowers others. Furthermore, they will be a visionary, and strategic thinker who will ensure that the school continues to thrive and deliver on its mission for student athletes of today and tomorrow.
Qualified applicants are encouraged to apply by September 1, 2023, in accordance with the application process described in the IFC.
