the Bravery Tribute Concert at the (legendary) Old Saloon in Emigrant, Montana
The Peak Ski Company announces the Big Sky Bravery Tribute Concert, a tribute to and fundraiser for the venerated non-profit organization Big Sky Bravery, based in Bozeman, Montana.
Bozeman, Montana July 13, 2023 — The Peak Ski Company, in partnership with The Old Saloon, announced today that country music legend Joe Nichols is headlining the First Annual Big Sky Bravery Tribute Concert on Monday, August 7, 2023. All proceeds generated from the event will go to Big Sky Bravery. This venerated non-profit serves active-duty warfighters from the most elite divisions and units of the United States Special Operations Forces. Big Sky Bravery’s weeklong programs help recipients reconnect and recalibrate through structured activities, including skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, fishing, mentorship and more.
“I’m truly honored to perform for this event, all in support of Big Sky Bravery and at this legendary venue, The Old Saloon,” said Joe Nichols. “Above all, I’m deeply appreciative of the Big Sky Bravery organization and what they do for our nation’s great warriors,” said Nichols. “When my good friend Andy Wirth asked me to consider swinging through his neck of the woods to play at the Old Saloon and for Big Sky Bravery, it was a quick yessir.” Nichols is a multi-platinum recording artist, three-time Grammy nominee and has been honored with the Academy of Country Music’s “Top New Male Vocalist” award.
“While the war on terror no longer makes it way to Americans’ news feeds, make no mistake, it remains a very active and kinetic environment, globally,” said Andy Wirth, Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer of the Peak Ski Company. “The active-duty warfighters that Big Sky Bravery serves are currently engaged in that battle, day in and day out. This organization is so unique in that it serves active-duty, Tier One assets or better, warfighters from the United States’ special warfare community…all of whom are the quintessential quiet professionals and the tip of the spear,” said Wirth. “The team here at Peak, along with my friend Joe Nichols and the great folks at The Old Saloon couldn’t be prouder to work with and support this remarkable organization.”
The Bravery Tribute Concert will take place on Monday, August 7, 2023, at the Old Saloon, Emigrant, Montana, located in the Paradise Valley, just north of the entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The Old Saloon is a legendary and unique venue that has been “Serving Outlaws and Cowgirls Since 1903”. Doors will open at 6:00 pm and a Montana favorite, Matt Miller, will open for Joe Nichols.
General admission tickets are $55.00 and will go on sale Friday, July 14, 2023, at 10:00 am Mountain time. Tickets can be purchased through oldsaloonmt.com. Thanks to the Peak Ski Company and Old Saloon partnership, all proceeds generated by the First Annual Big Sky Bravery Tribute Concert at the Old Saloon will go to Big Sky Bravery.
“We are thrilled to partner with Joe Nichols, The Old Saloon and Andy’s team at Peak to help raise awareness about Big Sky Bravery and our work,” said Josh McCain, Founder and CEO of Big Sky Bravery. “The Bravery Tribute Concert is a great way for us to enhance awareness and generate the critical funding which enables our programs…for all of this, we’re deeply appreciative of this opportunity,” said McCain. “We’re glad to be working with Joe Nichols, The Old Saloon and the team at Peak Ski Company, who are once again demonstrating through their active and engaged support, true patriotism and genuine appreciation for our nation’s warfighters.”
Joe Nichols, one of country music’s most praised country artists, has six Number One hits and eight Top 10 singles his credit, including “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off,” “Sunny and 75”, “Gimme That Girl,” “Yeah” and the hit that launched his career, “The Impossible.” The Quartz Hill recording artist Nichols has done much for the veteran’s community, including the song and associated video, “The Shape I’m In,” which features Marcus Lutrell, the US Navy SEAL whose story was captured in the movie “Lone Survivor.” Nichols recently released the hit song “Home Run” and the single “Brokenhearted.”
Nichols has earned multiple RIAA platinum and gold certifications for his hit albums and Nichols is a three-time Grammy nominee and the winner of the Academy of Country Music’s “Top New Male Vocalist” award, the CMT “Breakthrough Video of the Year” award as well as the prestigious “Horizon Award” from the Country Music Association. Additional honors include awards from Billboard, Radio & Records and Music Row Magazine and a New York Times “Best- Albums-of-the-Year” nod.
