Okemo released an official statement yesterday evening about the temporary closure of the resort following the storms. Please read below:

The Adventure Zone at Jackson Gore, the Okemo Bike Park and scenic chair rides are closed through Wednesday. The extent to which we reopen later in the week will depend on conditions. We place the highest value on the safety of our guests, employees and community, and our thoughts are with the community of Ludlow at this time.”
The resort has not released specifics on damages, but photos and videos from the resort’s village show water damage to road, signage, and structures.

At the time of publishing this article, there have not been any deaths reported from the historic flooding in southern Vermont.
NBC 5 reports that over 100 water rescues took place across the region and that the Village of Johnson Electric has shut off the power for public safety.
Our thoughts are with the good people of southern Vermont as they rebuild following this tragic storm.
