Devil’s Castle At Alta Still Has Over Seven Feet of Snow Depth!

This past winter, Alta Ski Area in Utah saw 903 inches of snowfall, which was an all-time record for them. While most of the snow at Alta has melted at this point, Devil’s Castle is still holding strong.

On Monday, Ski Utah posted its latest update on the snow depth over at Alta. Martha was back at Alta Ski Area to measure how the snow depth was holding up. The main contrast from her last video is that much of the snow on the majority of the mountain has melted since Martha’s last visit. Over at Devil’s Castle though, the snowpack is still taller than Giannis Antetokounmpo. Martha recorded a snow depth of over seven feet at Devil’s Castle.

While it’s not clear from the video when exactly the video was recorded (I’d assume late last week or on Monday), it’s clear that it will be a couple of weeks before the snowpack on Devil’s Castle completely melts. This means that if you want to, you can earn your turns. Just note that this terrain is no longer being monitored by ski patrol because, you know, it’s July.

Ski Utah’s video is down below.
