Look: Snowboarder Doesn't Spill A Drop Of Beer On Summer Stunt

Ever heard the phrase “Hold my beer?” Usually, its utterance precedes an intoxicated person attempting something absurd that they may or may not have the faculties to do. Over the years, the term’s gained prevalence as an internet meme used to mock those who put themselves in humorously tricky situations.

Possible examples of the meme include inebriated people mocking bears, setting off illegal fireworks, and attempting rope swings with predictably undesirable consequences.

But this snowboarder, @lucprent1ce on Instagram, recently flipped (literally) the “Hold my beer” meme on its head by flawlessly executing a challenging on-snow stunt with a beer firmly in hand. It doesn’t look like he spilled a drop.

If an alien unfamiliar with human society were to visit Earth and ask me, “What’s spring skiing?” I’d point them in the direction of this video. It has all the hallmarks of the late-season skiing experience.

Floral shirt? Check.

Pond skim? Yup.

A stunt borne of questionable decision-making that inexplicably goes well? 100%.

It’s hilariously evocative of ski and snowboard culture to the point of almost being satire.

Bottom line: if you don’t need anyone to hold your beer, you know what you’re doing. Just don’t have another beer before making your next move, lest you become the next poster child for the “Hold my beer” meme. That first one was probably enough.
