Like many resorts across the country, Keystone has shut down operations for the offseason. There is no skiing and there is no biking, but there’s still plenty of workers wandering around the mountain’s base. Work on Keystone’s $300-million expansion, Kindred at Keystone Resort, began back in August of 2022, but work is now beginning to ramp up.
The massive expansion is set to contain 95 residences (60% are currently under contract), ranging from one-bed/two-bath to four-bed/four-bath apartments. The residences will be split between the West and East Towers. Additionally, the expansion will feature a 107-room luxury hotel managed by RockResorts.
Other amenities featured at the resort will include a full-service spa, pool and hot tubs, three restaurants, a ski school, gear rentals and resort retail, a hotel bar, an outdoor AstroTurf event space, and much more. Those looking to live the exclusive lifestyle can join the private Kindred Club, set to offer ski lockers, food and beverage opportunities, parking, social events, and more.
According to 9News, construction on the project is set to transform the ski resort’s base area by 2025 as more than 300 people are currently working to crank out as much as possible.
