Who is skiing, when and how to watch the Sunday, Cortina d’Ampezzo Super-G

Notably, tomorrow’s start list does not include USA’s, Travis Ganong, and Jared Goldberg. Ganong is fighting a fever and Goldberg is still recovering from the Kitzbühel crash experienced in the second downhill. However, Thanks to outstanding downhill results both should be selected for the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Courchevel France. Because of world championship selection, expect to see lots of racers extra motivated to ski at their limits. For athletes on the selection border, tomorrow is their last chance to impress the coaches.

Today thanks to perfect conditions and a very good course set, Cortina d’Ampezzo’s Olympia delle Tofane delivered a fabulous race. Cortina is a beautiful place and today it proved a wonderful skills test of the world’s best.

Tomorrow replaces the canceled November Lake Louise super-G.

North American teams will start 13 athletes, Alpine Canada Alpin will start eight, and the Stifel US Alpine Team will start five. Currently, the best-ranked North American male super-G skier is Canada’s James Crawford, 7th and the best-ranked Stifel US Alpine Team member is Ryan Cochran-Siegle, 18th.
