A limited-edition ski goggle collaboration between Gucci Vault (Gucci’s experimental concept store) and the Swedish luxury sports eyewear brand Yniq has been unveiled and is available now only from the Gucci Vault.

The cool new goggles, known as models NINE and FOUR, have been created exclusively for Gucci Vault by Yniq’s technicians and artisans, and in partnership with three-time Olympic medalist skier Lindsey Vonn. They retail at €690 and €495 per pair respectively.

Each pair is secured with comfortable elastic straps featuring the words “Sine Amore Nihil” (“Without love, life is pointless”) and there are four lens colour gradations are available: red/orange, silver, purple, and blue.

Gucci Vault is Gucci’s experimental concept store for creative and explorative brand synergies and they’ve worked with Yniq to release the ski goggle capsule collection, designed to create a dynamic interplay where high-fashion carves a winning line down the mountain.

Yniq claims to be the only sports tech company to blend cutting-edge science and Swedish design with haute couture. Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn is a member of Yniq’s development team and a shareholder in the company. With her extensive knowledge and experience in blending luxury, performance, and mountain sports, she is uniquely qualified to contribute to the development of Yniq’s products.

“We are Yniq, and we continue to be the makers of the most exclusive ski goggles and sports luxury eyewear. Born and designed in Sweden, handmade by skilled artisans in Italy and with extraordinary customers around the globe, Yniq delivers an unparalleled visual experience without compromise,” said  Mikael Kenson, Founder and Co-Owner of Yniq.

Moss Bemis, CEO of Yniq, adeed, “Yniq’s patented technology (PVT) for expanded peripheral vision was developed to eliminate the very real feeling of being restrained when wearing goggles. As more people seek the joy of skiing and boarding, the need to see your surroundings has never been more important.”
