The Cranmore Mountain Race Team is looking for a full time seasonal program director. The CRT is a very successful and quickly growing club that offers both full time and weekend race programming as well as competitive compensation for staff. This position will start in mid-September and wrap up by mid-April, with minor responsibilities from May through August.

Program Director: 

CRT is seeking a professional alpine ski coach to oversee all the operational duties of our competitive Children’s Race Programming. Job duties include, but will not be limited to the following details:

  • Manage, recruit, hire and train all coaching staff.
  • Develop training and racing schedules in collaboration with Head Coaches for each age group, U10’s, U12’s and U14’s.
  • Work with the Executive director to develop effective curriculum for each age group. -Engage athletes and parents with frequent and effective communication including but not limited to training schedules, annual race schedule and selection, volunteer communications, race assignments and planning social events.
  • Attend and Assist in the operation of Summer and Fall training camps.
  • Oversee program budget with Executive director and Finance chair
  • Contribute content to the CRT monthly newsletter.
  • Contribute content to social media outlets.
  • Work closely with the Executive director and Cranmore Operations to assist in running competition operations hosted by CRT.
  • Assist in competition operations for MWVST hosted events.
  • Run weekly staff meetings coordinating with the CRT coaching staff.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the executive director.
  • Attend and assist in running monthly board meetings.
  • Be proactive with families via email and phone through consistent, and effective club communication.
  • Coordinate out of season events for club members such as dryland training camps/ weekends.
  • Assist with MWVAEF fundraising events.
  • Take an active role speaking at club gatherings and awards ceremonies.
  • Engage in continuing education opportunities through US Ski and Snowboard. 

Minimum Level 100 Coaching certification and Officials license required. Children’s Alpine programming experience and collegiate racing experience preferred.
