The Pitztal glacier in Austria’s Tirol region, home to the country’s highest lift-served ski slopes, has opened a “cinema” made of wood, 3,440m up.
“Do you love cinema visits and cheer for exciting scenes? Then our glacier cinema at 3,440 metres altitude is just right for you!” a Pitztal spokesperson said, adding,
“The content features the mighty glacier world which we play every day in full HD high definition. Take a seat and let the amazing backdrop affect you.”
The Pitztal Glacier has one of the world’s longest ski seasons and should open for winter 22-23 in just under two months’ time on 24th September, the stay open for over seven months through to May next year.
It has also recently completed a slightly more expensive infrastructure upgrade besides the ‘cinema’ an all new underground funicular train is running up to the slopes.
