Travelski Express, the company that began offering package ski holidays by rail direct to the French Alps from London last winter, is increasing the number of resort destination choices it offers from seven to ten, next winter.

The company is offering the resorts of Val Thorens and Courchevel in the 3 Valleys, as well as La Rosière across the valley from Les Arcs, to their 22-23 programme. The new resorts join existing options Val d’Isere, Tignes, Meribel, Les Arcs, Brides Les Bains, Les Menuires and La Plagne.

With a range of accommodation available throughout these new resorts, packages start at just £646 pp for a week in La Rosière (below). The package price includes return direct Eurostar train service from London St Pancras, accommodation, local area lift pass and transfers to/from accommodation.

In addition to a competitive price for the combined cost of these four aspects of a ski holiday compared to trying to buy each part separately, with Travelski also ABTA bonded, each passenger journey on the direct Travelski Express emits less than a quarter of the carbon of a passenger opting to fly to Geneva and transfer to the resort from there.

The first train (operated by Eurostar) is due to depart on 17th December 2022 with the final return on the 15th April 2023. In a timing modification after the inaugural season last winter, the train will now run outbound from London on Saturday morning, arriving in the heart of the Alps (Moutiers and Bourg St Maurice) on Saturday afternoon.  Skiers will then be taken from the train station to their accommodation (or as close as is possible under local access laws) in plenty of time to get checked in and their kit sorted for the following day.

The return train will leave on Saturday evening, giving guests an almost full day of skiing on Saturday. This will arrive into London St Pancras early on Sunday morning (exact time to be finalised).

Ski Train Cancelled

Sample prices are from:

Val Thorens – Résidence Les Balcons de Val Thorens & Spa 4* 07/01 to 14/01/2023 from £2,779  for four adults (£695/pp based on four sharing a 2 room appt).

Courchevel 1850 – Pierre & Vacances Résidence premium Les Chalets du Forum 07/01 to 14/01/2023 from £4240 for 5 adults (£848 pp based on 5 sharing in 2 rooms Standard appt)

La Rosière Résidence CGH & SPA Les Cimes Blanches 4*. 18/03 to 25/03/2023. From £3877 for 6 adults (£646 pp based on six guests sharing in 3 room appt)
