SR Staff Report

During the 2021/22 season, the Swiss alpine team left Beijing with nine Olympic medals and finished the season with 51 World Cup podiums. Additionally, the team finished the season with an impressive 10,410 World Cup points. However, a partnership with the new sponsor, Sunrise UPC, required a race suit graphics redesign.

On July 5th, Swiss-Ski provided the ski racing world its first look at the newly designed LEVADA speed suit. Known for a bold approach to suit design, Swiss-Ski and long-time uniform supplier Descente have done it again. Collaborating with their commercial partners over months, they arrived at the final LEVADA design. Consequently, this year brings a dramatic change.

LEVADA is the name of the new suit design, which means sunrise in Rätoromanisch and is perfect for celebrating the relationship with long-term title sponsor Sunrise UPC. Sunrise’s promise is “Dream Big, Do Big.” The moto certainly fits well with the realities at Swiss-Ski.

Undoubtedly, the suit is bold, aggressive and distinctive. But without a doubt, it is fast and will populate many podiums during the 2022/23 season.
