The US Ski Team has nominated 42 athletes to the United States National Alpine Ski Team.

This list, once again, ranges from star veterans to youth starting their exciting journey.

A team status requires world-class performance. The four women and six men nominated have proven to be the United States’ best. Follow them this season as they perform in the sport’s most compelling series, the FIS Alpine World Cup and the FIS Alpine World Championships.

It is exciting to see B team athletes moving through the system based on performance. This past season eight current B team members, five women and three men, scored FIS Alpine World Cup points. Noteworthy Jacqueline Wiles and Luke Winters distinguished themselves by finishing the season Top 30 on the World Cup Start List. However, the talent of all eight women and eight men is compelling. Don’t be surprised to see all of them scoring points for the USA in the coming season. Ski Racing Media predicts we will see a podium or two from this group.

The US has a strong C team composed of two women and three men. C team member Katie Hensien for the second season in a row, found herself scoring World Cup SL points. These gifted skiers are hungry and fast. With the support of their programs, we will undoubtedly see athletes move into the B team next year.

All seven women and three men on the USST D team are willing and ready to perform. Although D team members don’t yet have the proven electrifying ability to win Alpine World Cups, they are working on their skills and are preparing for higher levels. It is fitting to describe the group as hungry and prepared to fly.

There are three new athletes nominated this season. Ski Racing Media asks you to welcome new D team members Elisabeth Bocock of Salt Lake, Katlin Keane of Vail, and Krjersti Moritz, also of Vail. All three rookies are members of the Women’s D team.

Ski Racing Media wishes all of the 2022/23 USST nominees success and fortune.
