At an exciting last World Cup weekend in Schonach (GER), the Norwegians Gyda Westvold Hansen and Jarl Magnus Riiber secured the overall World Cup titles 2021/22.

For Hansen, the overall World Cup victory was already certain after the events in Val di Fiemme (ITA) at the beginning of January after the competitions in Planica (SLO) were cancelled.
At that point, she was 289 points ahead of teammate Ida Marie Hagen and unassailably in the lead.

With another victory on Sunday in Schonach, the 19-year-old completed an almost-perfect season for her. With 7 victories in 8 Individual competitions, Westvold Hansen only failed to collect full points in the overall World Cup on the first day of the competition in Schonach, after her health-related withdrawal from the race.
With a total of 700 points, she is the clear winner of the second Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup Women.

With a phenomenal sprint to the finish against his biggest competitor Johannes Lamparter, Jarl Magnus Riiber secured his 4th Overall World Cup victory in a row on Sunday.
The 24-year-old from Oslo also set a new record of Individual World Cup wins on the same day, winning for the 49th time and dethroning previous record holder Hannu Manninen of Finland (47 wins).

In 96 World Cup competitions, Riiber was on the podium 67 times, 49 of them at the top. Despite his young age, he is already one of the most successful Nordic Combined athletes of all time.
With a total of 1383 points, the unbeatable Norwegian was crowned Nordic Combined overall World Cup champion for the fourth consecutive season, after already taking the crystal globe in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
