Women’s Sprint C
As Jonna Sundling had to deal with a injured thumb at the beginning of the season, it took a while for her to come back on the World Cup stage. However, since her recovery – the 27 year-old reported back in top shape and showed her dominance in todays Sprint. From qualification to the finals; Jonna remained ahead of her contenders and finishes her Sprint season with a victory.
Already before the first climb in the finals, Sundling had advanced ahead of her contenders. Only last years Sprint Champion, Anamarija Lampic managed to stay on her heels for the first part. For the third place, Maja Dahlqvist, Julia Kern and Nadine Fähndrich went into a final sprint before the finish line.
Maja Dahlqvist, who had already ensured herself the Sprint globe thanks to her series of Sprint victories throughout the season, took the last remaining spot on the podium before Julia Kern and Fähndrich.
