It was a great final event of the RAW AIR 2022 on the Holmenkollen in Oslo. Daniel Andre Tande of Norway, who had such a serious crash in Planica last March, was back on top in the Ski Jumping World Cup in Oslo. Tande won Sunday’s competition ahead of Slovenia’s Anze Lanisek and Stefan Kraft of Austria.

It was the eighth World Cup win for Tande, the first for the 28-year-old since November 2019 (Ruka). “This is just an insane moment, I don’t think anyone expected this, I absolutely didn’t expect it myself. My jumps are getting better and better, I have been good in a few training rounds, but it’s more difficult to show these kinds of jumps in a competition. We took it slow and gave ourselves time because nobody expected me to jump like this so soon again. It’s easier to take such steps if you don’t put any pressure on yourself and just try to enjoy Ski Jumping”, said Tande.

Besides Tande, Austria’s Stefan Kraft was the big winner of the second competition in Oslo. Kraft came in third today and secured his clear win in the overall ranking of the RAW AIR 2022. This year, the RAW AIR was held at only two venues due to the construction work at the hill in Trondheim and the Ski Flying World Championships next weekend in Vikersund, and Kraft took the win with a total of 1203.3 points, followed by Karl Geiger (1172.6 points) and Ryoyu Kobayashi (1162.9 points). It was the second time after 2017 KRaft could win the RAW AIR. “Winning the RAW AIR for the first time five years ago was really special, it was a long tour that ended in Vikersund with a world record. It was my best season so far. Now it’s really good to be in such good shape again, I really enjoy this moment. Now I’m looking forward to the Ski Flying World Championships in Vikersund”, said Kraft.
