Corvatsch competitions close out European Cup season

Second place behind Peperkamp in Tuesday’s slopestyle competition was, Ariane Burri, with that result helping the 21 year-old also earn second overall on the women’s final standings. Third place overall, meanwhile, went to 14 year-old Mia Brookes of Great Britain, who also earned a podium on the weekend in Corvatsch by finishing third in the big air competition.
Though the men’s big air was cancelled, the slopestyle competition went down with in a big way on the exceptional Corvatsch course on Tuesday, with a pair of standout US riders in Lyon Farrell and Sean Fitzimons finishing in first and second, respectively, followed by Moritz Boll of the host Swiss squad in third.
Those top results wouldn’t be enough to land the US riders in the season’s European Cup top three, however, as Swiss riders swept he big air and slopestyle overall podium. Corvatsch local Nicolas Huber lead the way with 280 points, followed closely by Boll with 270 and then Jonas Junker with 260 points.
