Coming back from China with a bronze medal, Nika Kriznar confirmed her good shape dominating clearly today in Hinzenbach, Austria. After a difficult start in the season, Slovenian Nika Kriznar made improvements step by step, happy now to see that everything goes into the right direction. For a couple of months, she won her third World Cup after Lubjno and Willingen.  In the Olympics she was also Olympic Champion in Mixed Team. It was nevertheless a bitter sweet victory for her as teammate Ursa Bogataj was disqualified in today’s qualification, starting before the green light. “I hope such a mistake will not happen to us ever in the future” said Kriznar.

Ursa Bogataj not participating, Nika Kriznar won also the new Austrian tournament AlpenKrone with a total of 701 points. Thanks to today’s clear advance with Marita Kramer, Nika Kriznar crowned herself and got the additional prize money of € 10,000.-.

Marita Kramer, with a first jump of just 80m, explained she had some struggles: “It was so tough for me here in Hinzenbach to find the right technique. Last weeks were pretty difficult for me, I was really looking forward to jumping again, unfortunately I was not able to make two good jumps. I did not really enjoyed it, only the final jump today was really nice and that makes me really happy and I would like to continue that way.

For the first time on her career, French Josephine Pagnier is claiming her podium in World Cup… «It feels amazing and I am very happy about the first ever podium result for me in the World Cup. Yesterday, I was not able to show my best jumps, today I managed to make two really good jumps. This result will give me a lot of self-confidence now, so I hope to build on it in the future” said the 19-year-old French who claimed the silver medal in 2020 Youth Olympics Game in France.

Frida Westman from Sweden scored a back-to-back fourth position and Russian Sofia Tikhonova achieved her best result ever finishing fifth. Kriznar teammates Spela Rogel finished sixth whereas best Austrian is Lisa Eder (7th) followed by Jacqueline Seidfriedsberger (9th).
