Monday Mix – May 24, 2021

[ad_1]
Last week the annual FIS Spring Meetings went down in a virtual format, and with one of the biggest weeks of the off-season now behind us we’re once again firing up the Monday Mix to keep you up-to-date and (hopefully) entertained through the next few months as we look forward to the start of the 2021/22 competition season.
With the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games looming on the horizon there were few major decisions or changes implemented at last week’s meetings. However, the future of our competitions after the Games was very much on everyone’s mind, with all of our respective Sub-committees – Park & Pipe, Snowboard Cross, and Snowboard Alpine – having some deep conversations about how to grow and improve as we move forward. Hit the links in that last line to read more about what went down in the meetings (Alpine recap coming on Tuesday).
And now to properly resurrect the Monday Mix you know and love it. will come to know and love by the the time you finish reading. Hopefully.
We’ll kick things off with a little crossover magic from Takeru Otsuka, who took some time off from tearing up the Redbull Recharged course to mess around in the Mammoth halfpipe last week. Of course, the phrase “mess around” for Takeru actually translates to something “stomp a switch frontside dub 10 first try,” in Japanese…we think. Look out Yuto, Takeru is coming…
