A double Russian victory was taken at the 5km Classic interval start of the Junior Women. Dariya Nepryaeva takes the victory, 2,9 seconds ahead of her team colleague Elizaveta Bekisheva. The Norwegian Emma Kirkeberg Mørk got the bronze medal, only 4 seconds behind the winner.
To win a Gold medal at those tough courses around Lygna, the 19 year-young winner said: “It’s hard to describe winning this Gold medal, but I’m for sure very happy. It’s a tough course with many uphills, so I am glad i made it,” Nepryaeva says.
For second placed Elizaveta Bekisheva, it was hard to talk about her emotions and what this silver medal means to her: “I tried my best and the Silver medal is very important for me.”
Emma Kirkeberg Mørk was only seconds away from the gold, but was still happy. She takes the final podium spot just before Eriksson, Hoffman and Heggen, who all have raced to the precious JWSC medals at Lygna already.
