Maximize Your IKON PASS This Season With The Help Of Ski.com
With a bevy of benefits offered by every multi-resort, season pass on the block, it’s hard to keep track of where you should be saving all that hard-earned money. So this week, we’re checking out the IKON PASS and giving you, THE SKI.COM COMMUNITY, an insider’s look as to how you can truly maximize your season pass benefits at 44 ski resorts across the globe.
EPIC PASS VS. IKON PASS | COMPARE & FIND YOUR PERFECT PASS
To begin, not all Ikon Passes are created equally. The Ikon Pass, Ikon Base Pass, and Ikon Session Pass have different levels of benefits that apply to different ski resorts and mountain destinations at different times. So figuring out which applies to you and when is paramount to taking advantage of your pass.
UNLIMITED ACCESS, BLACKOUT DATES, AND PARTNER RESORTS
Alterra Mountain Company continues to expand its pass offerings to include some of the best skiing in the world via its Ikon, Ikon Base, and Ikon Session passes. Obviously, the full Ikon Pass includes more expansive access when compared to its more affordable counterparts. That said, the Ikon Base also offers some amazing destinations, albeit with blackout dates*.
Here’s the general breakdown… (Those renewing their Ikon Pass are granted access to discounted, season pass renewal rates)
$1,149 – IKON PASS – Unlimited access to 15 mountain resorts, unlimited 7-day access at 29 mountain resorts across the globe.
$1,029 – IKON BASE PASS PLUS – Unlimited access to 14 mountain resorts, 5-day access at 29 mountain resorts (includes Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Aspen Snowmass) across the globe with blackout dates*.
$879 – IKON BASE PASS – Unlimited access to 13 mountain resorts and 5-day access at 27 mountain resorts across the globe with blackout dates*.
$499 – IKON SESSION PASS – 4-day access to 38 destinations with blackout dates.
*Ikon Base Pass + Session Pass Blackout Dates | Dec 26, 2021 – Jan 2, 2022 | Jan 15-16, 2022 | Feb 19-20, 2022

COVID – 19 Policies – 11/8/2021
For the 21-22 season, Ikon Pass holders will mostly be free of reservations except for at certain limited partner resorts like Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. While there is still a lot to determine leading up to the 21/22 season, we assume that a few others will likely require reservations as well.
