Outstanding victory for Sara Hector in Kranjska Gora

Sara Hector (SWE) is almost unstoppable.
She won the women’s giant slalom on the Podkoren in Kranjska Gora and won the red bib for the first time in her career, confirming herself as the true reference of the current giant slalom.
The Swedish racer was especially impressive in the second run and won her third World Cup victory and the second of the season with a 96 hundredths margin over Tessa Worley (FRA). The French skier finished second and is in full fight for in this discipline.
Behind Sara and Tessa is Marta Bassino (ITA) on the same slope where she triumphed twice in 2021.
Valerie Grenier (CAN) did a great race, seven hundredths from the podium, and she achieved the best result in her career.
Mikaela Shiffrin (USA) and Petra Vlhova (SVK) finished in the back, while Lara Gut-Behrami (SUI) came back after a long break due to the covid and recovered in the second run with an excellent race up to the fifth position.
