Ryoyu Kobayashi also wins in Bischofshofen

Ryoyu Kobayashi won the third competition of the 70th 4-Hills-Tournament on Wednesday. In the competition that replaced the event that was canceled in Innsbruck yesterday, the Japanese came in ahead of the two Norwegians Marius Lindvik and Halvor Egner Granerud.

The final of the 70th 4-Hills-Tournament will be really exciting. Ryoyu Kobayashi of Japan will be extremely difficult to defeat in the battle for the overall title, but Kobayashi could become the first ski jumper to win the Grand Slam twice, by also taking the win in the final event of the Tournament.

With Kobayashi Ski Jumping almost becomes a bit like soccer, at least when quoting England’s Gary Lineker. “Soccer is a simple game: 22 men chase after a ball for 90 minutes, and in the end, Germany always wins”, Lineker once said. It has been a while since Germany won a title in soccer, but Kobayashi just keeps on winning in Ski Jumping. Ski Jumping is still a very difficult sport at the 70th 4-Hills-Tournament, in the end, Ryoyu Kobayashi always wins. He is demoralizing his opponents.

Once again Kobayashi was not in the lead after the first round in Bischofshofen today, once again the Japanese had a great jump in the final round. “I was extremely nervous today, Marius Lindvik put a lot of pressure on me with his first jump, but now I’m happy that I could show a very good second jump and win”, Kobayashi said after his success.
