The FIS Women’s Ski Jumping World Cup continues in Ljubno, Slovenia. The Knock Out system will be used for the first time in women’s Ski Jumping history in both competitions on the new Silvester Tour.
The overall winner of the Silvester Tour is rewarded with a Golden Owl and 10.000 CHF. The Golden Owl is estimated to be approximately equivalent to the cash prize.

Austria’s Marita Kramer was best on the qualification for Friday’s first competition in the Ljubno Silvester Tour with 91,5 m jump and a total of 144 points.
Local heroes took the next places. Ema Klinec (SLO) was second with 141,4 points. Ursa Bogataj showed impressive performance throughout the day, being third with 139.9 points and collecting the most points from both training rounds.

Marita Kramer (Aut): “I’m pretty satisfied with the steps I made during the training and qualification today. It was a little bit tough because it’s a difficult inrun for me. I really had some struggles, but if I find the right position, I know I can jump far, and that’s my goal for tomorrow. So I’m just really looking forward.”

Germany’s Katharina Althaus was fourth ahead of Sara Takanashi (JPN).
Slovenians showed good performance having four athletes in the top ten. Spela Rogelj was 6th and Nika Kriznar 8th in the qualification. Silje Opseth (NOR) was 7th and Austrians Daniela Iraschko-Stolz 9th ahead of the teammate Lisa Eder.
