4-Hills-Tournament: Fans allowed in Austria

At least in Austria, the 70th 4-Hills-Tournament will be held with fans in the stands. The Austrian Ski Association and the local organizing committees announced that a maximum of 4000 spectators will be allowed to attend the competition in Innsbruck on January 4th, 3500 fans can be live on-site for the final event in Bischofshofen on January 6th on especially assigned and marks seats in the stadium. The qualification in Innsbruck (January 3rd) will take place without spectators, a bit more than 2000 fans will be allowed to attend the qualification in Bischofshofen (January 5th). The first two events of the 4-Hills-Tournament will have to take place without spectators.
“It’s great that we don’t have to crown the 4-Hills champion in front of empty stands. We immediately started to build the stands according to the restrictions”, said Manfred Schuetzenhofer, president of the ski club in Bischofshofen and head of the organizing committee for the final event. This season, the overall 4-Hills-Tournament champion will be rewarded the record prize money of CHF 100 000.-.
Tickets that have already been bought for the two events in Austria (except for the VIP areas) will be canceled and refunded. Everyone who has already bought tickets for one of these events was already informed and will get the chance to buy tickets until December 21st, 10 am CET. The official ticket sales start online and in sales agencies on Tuesday, December 21st, 10 am CET.
Spectators must be fully vaccinated or have recovered from a Covid-infection, need a personalized ticket and there will be an assigned and marked seat (subject to change).
